When using the services of a consulting firm there are a number of important issues to consider. The qualifications and experience of the consultant, the needs of your project and whether working together would be a good fit. Not every client will be a fit with OTCC and if that happens we will try to connect you with another qualified person or business that may be able to assist you in your project.

What types of projects do you work on?
Our experience adds the most value to clients opening a new business, troubleshooting existing operations, evaluating current growth options (store location growth, licensing and franchising) or those who need training systems created.
We also work with clients in other industries who wish to develop a consulting business, training programs, or other industry specific business opportunities.

  • A successful retailer for almost two decades - created and still own JP's Coffee, a high volume coffee bar in Holland, MI.
  • Opened a coffee cart.
  • Opened a coffee kiosk in a local furniture manufacturer's world headquarters.
  • Remodeled our coffee bar completely.
  • Expanded our coffee bar twice. The first time added 30% more space and the second time doubled the original space.
  • Created a juice/smoothie concept from scratch.
  • Created a franchise; franchised locations then sold the concept.
  • Founded a barista school.
  • We have helped dozens of clients create, open or improve their business.
Have you made any major mistakes in business?
Yes, and we believe this is a great advantage to you when selecting MBS. We have done some things very well and have made most of the classic blunders of any new business, as well as inventing a few of our own. It's called experience.
Do you work with non-profits? Do you offer them a discount?
Yes. We have worked with many non-profits over the years. No, there are no discounts for a non-profit.
How much do your services cost?
As a guideline our rate ranges between $1200 and $2500 a day, depending on the size of the project and our involvement in it. Some international or larger projects may run much higher.
Do you work internationally?
Yes. We can work for most international clients and are only restricted by safety or travel concerns.
What type of clients do you not work with?
We work with coffee or food & beverage retailers, chains and franchises; other consulting firms; and those looking to buy or sell an existing operation. We do not work with coffee roasting, farming, or commodities trading, but can recommend others in the industry with great reputations. Contact us for a referral.
Can On Track source equipment?
Yes. We are a distributor for a few of the best espresso and coffee equipment companies. We do not distribute other F&B equipment.
Do you offer training products or a coffee bar system?

Do you work at client locations or from your offices?
Both. Completing a project may involve office work, travel to location, or both. We travel to client location as needed or desired by client (typically 1 day to 2 weeks at a time).
Are there any discounts on your services?
Yes. MBS students receive a 10% discount on all services.
Do you offer onsite training or store setup?
Yes. MBS trainers can travel to your location and train your staff in your cafe using your equipment. We help with everything from setting up to employee training to grand openings. Check out our services.
